What to keep in mind before you buy
For the two products with the widest spreads this week, the hyaluronic serum and the daily moisturising lotion, it is worth checking at least three stores before paying, because the difference can cover the cost of another product entirely. For the eye cream and the retinol serum, where the spread is under 20%, buying from the nearest trusted store makes more sense than driving across the city to save a small amount.
When comparing online listings, remember to add delivery charges, and check that the seller is an authorised stockist, since counterfeit skincare is a real problem in the region. Also check the production date, especially on serums and treatments, because actives lose strength over time.
On the routine side: retinol belongs at night only, always with sunscreen the next morning. AHA and BHA treatments should not be used on the same night as retinol. Salicylic acid cleansers work better if you let them sit on the skin briefly, and any active treatment is easier on the barrier when paired with a ceramide moisturiser.
